Choosing a system

Do you want a system that bills, or one that makes money?

A basic system is for billing and stock. A good system finds risks, opportunities and leaks. They're fundamentally different, so \"it prints receipts too\" doesn't make them equal. Learn how to tell a billing system from a money-making one.

A basic system is for billing and managing stock. A good system is for spotting risks, finding opportunities to make money and uncovering where money leaks.

They're fundamentally different things. How can "it prints receipts too" make them the same?

1. A sports car is defined by horsepower, not looks

Whether a car is a sports car doesn't depend on whether it looks like one. It depends on its horsepower.

Systems are the same. Whether a system is a billing system or a money-making system isn't about whether it can print a receipt. It's about how deep its analysis goes and how many dimensions its reports cover.

Plenty of systems can print a receipt. Very few help you make money.

2. Other systems tell you your sales. CCS Plus tells you why

When other systems tell you "last month's sales were this much", CCS Plus goes further:

  • Why did sales drop? Fewer customers, fewer visits, or lower spend per visit.
  • Which customers didn't come? Who was due back but didn't return, what they had last time and which staff member served them.
  • How do you bring them back? Hand the list to staff and invite them back with Reverse Booking.

CCS Plus has more than 1,000 reports, breaking sales down to every customer and every staff member. Once you know where the problem is, you know what to do next.

3. Do this today: ask your system three questions

  1. Sales dropped last month. Can it tell you why?
  2. Can it list the customers who were due back but didn't come?
  3. Can it show which staff member's customers are leaving the most?

If it can't answer any of them, you're using a billing system.

Conclusion: do right by your team

Use a system that actually helps the business. When the company makes money, your team has a better future.

What's the difference between a good system and a basic one?
